| Description : | This is a permanent senior level position.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years project or general management experience.
• Domain knowledge of the retail industry.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have either:
o Some form of project management qualification and/or
o Knowledge of PMBOK and/or
o Experience in, or have been involved in software development, implementation or transition projects and/or
o Proven experience with full project life cycles and/or
o Knowledge of, or experience with project management methodologies and tools and/or
o In depth project documentation experience
• Must be available to travel to Cape Town monthly or based on needs.
• Will be required to present a Portfolio of Evidence on projects they have organised planned and handled.
Duties:
• Manage projects over a wide range of different types of projects.
• Align and adhere to the Project Management Office.
• Interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare project charters, definitions and plans.
• Manage project progress and manage exceptions.
• Manage project activities.
o E.g. For a software development project
Business process modelling
Compilation of user requirements and specifications
Application design, development and system testing
System deployment and commissioning
• Report on project progress – internal and external.
